1. Race time, venue and organizer |
The main organizer of the race is the Latvian Ski Association, hereinafter referred to as the LSA.

1. The race is drawn up by the Chief of Race, hereinafter referred to as the CR, agreeing in advance with the LSA.
2. Information on the race program is available on the LSA website www.infoski.lv no later than 15 days before the race.
3. If on the race day the weather conditions on the racetrack or the racetrack cover do not allow to properly organize the race, the CR has the right to cancel the race on the date specified in the Regulations and to change the race program.
4. The CR has the right to set any date and time when the cancelled race will take place, timely informing the racers of it.
3. Race management |
1. The LSA appoints the race CR and monitors their activities.
2. The CR provides the number of judges, appoints them, dismisses them and monitors their activities.
4. Consideration of protests
1. Protests on the conduct of judges are submitted to the Race Office Secretary within 15 minutes after the last participant makes the finish.
2. These protests are examined by the CR together with other judges of the race.
3. The protests lodged are decided by a simple majority of votes.
4. The decision is final and not questionable.
5. The protestant with the lodged protest pays 100 EUR (per protest) which is received by the race CR.
6. Where the protests are grounded and satisfied, 100 EUR must be returned to the applicant.
7. If the protest is not based - 100 EUR is transferred to the organizer’s current account.

1. The BalticCup 2010 participants are dividend into the following groups:

2. The race is only open to those who have signed the athlete’s declaration and paid the membership fee.
3. The athlete’s declaration of the juvenile participants’ (up to 18 years of age) can be signed by the parents, guardians, the coach, club representative and/or an official representative of the National Federation who by their signature certify responsibility for the specific athlete.
4. The CR has the right to limit the number of the participants if it creates conditions that threaten the health of athletes.
5. At the present conditions contained in the regulations and taking into account the Baltic Cup 2010 race results, the pass in the Latvian adult and youth championship takes simultaneously place.
6. Race course, start-up procedure |
1. The race takes place in accordance with the Regulations based on the principles included in the FIS rules.
2. Two runs are organized in the GS and SL disciplines and one run -in the SG discipline.
3. The start-up in 2nd run procedure can be freely set by the CR by a mutual agreement with the coaches and representatives of the clubs basing on the physical condition of the racetrack, weather conditions and the number of the start-up racers.
4. The start-up procedure takes place in groups according to the principle:: two LAT participants, then 2 EST participants, after that 2 LTU participants on the basis of the members’ lists sent by the national responsible persons.
5. Two participants of which country will start first, who the second and the third-it will be determined by the raffle of the first organized meeting of the coaches and representatives.
6. The start-up procedure of the first 15 participants for each discipline is drawn in the meeting of the coaches and the representatives.
7. The winners of the first three places in Groups A, B, C for each gender have a voluntary opportunity to participate in the adult race in the discipline in which he has won the 1st, the 2nd or the 3rd place. These three young people start with numbers 16, 17 and 18, respectively.
8. The Baltic Cup 2010 official communication languages are English and Russian.
7. Awarding |
1. The first three owners of the best results are awarded.
2. The best result owners of the 4th, 5th and 6th places are awarded with diplomas in all age groups.
8. Logging for the race |
1. The application for participation in the race can be submitted by an individual person, club or the club’s manager who represents the specific athlete.
2. The application must be submitted electronically by means of registration in the LSA website www.infoski.lv or by an electronic mail to info@infoski.lv
3. The registration must take place no later than 5 days before the race.
4. The application will not be accepted if the person does not comply with the criteria of in Paragraph 5 of the given Regulations.
5. The final list of the participants is approved and submitted by an official representative of each nation’s federation till 18:00 on the day before the official start or formal training.
6. The participant lists should be in order of priority by groups- A,B,C,D,E (including Groups S and J in Group E) indicating the participant’s name, surname, birth year, gender and the represented club.
7. If the participant is logged on and registered, but he has not participated in the specific race, the manager of the club he represents returns all that was given to the participant in the specific competition (the starting number, the ski lift card/-s, ticket/-s , etc.). Otherwise, the LSA has the right to bill the club for the incurred damages in a double amount.
8. The participants who have delayed their start-up for any reasons are admitted at the start after the last participant in his or her group.
9. Advertizing |
1. An exclusive ad placement right during the race and beyond belongs to the LSA.
2. All the possible ad placement during this period must be coordinated with the LSA on a compulsory basis.
10. Membership fee |
1. The membership fee is 15 EUR per start for one participant in each discipline.
2. The membership fee must be paid till 18:00 the day before the official start of the formal training.
11. Insurance
1. All racers participating in the BalticCup 2010 events must carry accident insurance, in sufficient amounts to cover accident, transport and rescue costs including race risks.
2. The National Associations are responsible for adequate insurance coverage of all their racers sent and inscribed by them.
3. The National Ski Association or their competitors must be able to show proof of the respective insurance coverage at any time on request of the LSA, one of its representatives or the organizing committee.
12. Statute for the force and its amendments
1. The Regulations are in force for a period of up to the coming changes.
2. The LSA Board is entitled to amend the Regulations.
